Covid 19: Library reopening on 30 May 2020
With the re-opening of the Devonport Community House, we’re excited to be able to reopen the library from Saturday 30 May.
As we’re only allowed in the space for a maximum of two hours, our sessions will be slightly shorter than usual (9-10.30am) to allow for set up and pack down.
Please read the full update for information on safety procedures.
Expand your child's world of play
Devonport Toy Library on Auckland's North Shore is a not-for-profit community-led organisation which has been operating for almost 25 years. Children learn through play, and our aim is to provide children with a wide range of quality toys to support their learning and development, and most of all have fun!
Our library has over 700 quality toys for ages zero to six. Toys include ride-ons, role play toys (cooking, medicine, construction etc), musical toys, infant and toddler toys, water and sand toys, train sets and dress ups.
The library is run by a committee of volunteers with the help of our members, and funded through membership fees and grants from Auckland Council, the New Zealand Lotteries Commission and others.
Why join the library
- Provide your child with new toys for a minimal annual fee
- Access age appropriate toys to support your child’s growth and development
- Meet other families in our community
- Reduce waste to landfill from unwanted toys and packaging
